Omar is the Data Acquisition Manager in AI & Robotics, where he is responsible for strategically sourcing and integrating external data for research projects at EIT. His work involves assessing researcher needs, navigating complex legal and compliance requirements, and collaborating with both external organisations and internal technical teams to ensure safe data storage, use, and governance.

Omar’s career creates a unique intersection between clinical expertise and cutting-edge tech. Initially grounded in Radiation Oncology, he moved into the AI and drug discovery space, working with organisations such as BenevolentAI, MIRADA Medical, and GenesisCare. He brings proven expertise in technological integration to the team, most notably leading the successful cross-border integration of SGRT systems across the UK and Spain.

In his free time, Omar is dedicated to maintaining an active lifestyle. He is a keen traveller, always looking for the next opportunity to explore new cultures and cuisines.
