Ipshita Bag

Ipshita Bag is a Predoctoral Researcher in Economics at EIT. In her role, Ipshita contributes to research in the macroeconomics of ageing and longevity as well as the measurement and valuation of health.

Before joining EIT, Ipshita earned B.A. degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. During her time there, she held Research Assistant positions at the Department of Economics and the Haas School of Business, working on projects in applied microeconomics, behavioural economics, and development economics. She also served as an Economics Tutor at the Athletic Study Center and as a Writing Tutor at the Student Learning Center.

Outside of work, Ipshita enjoys reading, hiking, and playing card and board games, including chess, and is also committed to animal welfare and environmental activism
