Professor Cecilia M. Lindgren, PhD, FMedSci, is Principal Scientist and Senior Director of Scientific Impact and Innovation at EIT, where she advances the Institute's scientific impact and innovation agenda by strengthening connections across its scientific community and fostering collaboration, scientific exchange, and knowledge sharing.
She is also Professor at the University of Oxford. Internationally recognised for her leadership in applying data science, computational medicine, and biotechnology to major health challenges, Professor Lindgren has led and transformed numerous multidisciplinary research initiatives and institutions. She has authored more than 240 peer-reviewed publications and ranks among the top 0.1% most cited scientists worldwide. Her contributions have been recognised through numerous honours, including the Mary Lyon Medal, the Bertoli Award, and election as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. She is known not only for her leadership and scientific impact but also for her dedicated commitment to mentorship and advocacy.
