Dr Ben Chamberlain

Ben is a Research Scientist here in the AI & Robotics Institute at EIT. Ben previously held AI leadership roles at the biotechs Isomorphic Labs and Charm Therapeutics. He has also worked as a staff machine learning researcher at Twitter and was the Head of ML at ASOS.com for several years. His first role in ML was in the defence sector where he built a goat detector for forward operating bases during the Afghan war (not the first one), and some other things that are less idiosyncratic and more classified.

Ben has an ML PhD from Imperial College London, an eternal love for Oxford having completed his undergraduate degree in physics at Teddy Hall and did a bit of an MBA at Henley Management College.

After work, Ben enjoys playing and watching rugby and tennis.
